Brett BlundyBrett Blundy is the founder and owner of BB Retail Capital (BBRC) – one of Australia’s biggest retail groups, investing in a variety of concepts and property.

Brett’s passion for retail began in 1980 when he and a partner bought a rundown record store in Pakenham called Disco Duck. Since that time Brett has successfully built one of Australia’s biggest retail groups, investing in a variety of retail concepts and property via BB Retail Capital.

Brett’s past and present retail ventures include Adairs, Bras N Things, diva, dusk, Lovisa, Sanity, HMV, Virgin and Bridgeclimb

Bras N Things
Brett established the leading intimate apparel retailer with the purchase of three stores “The Bra Shop”, which Brett renamed Bras N Things. Bras N Things now operates over 200 stores in Australia and New Zealand.

diva
Brett is a founding investor and currently controls diva Australia and New Zealand. diva is the fastest growing fashion accessories chain. Brett has also invested in diva Russia, Poland, South Africa, Canada, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Serbia, Lithuania, Estonia and Bulgaria.

Lovisa
Brett is the founder of Lovisa, a new and directional brand bursting into the Australian and New Zealand fashion accessory scene.

Sanity
Brett also founded the Sanity Entertainment group, which was sold in a management buy-out in 2009. The Entertainment group included Sanity, HMV and Virgin Entertainment stores in Australia. The first Sanity store opened in 1993 in Melbourne.

BridgeClimb
Brett is one of the founding investors of BridgeClimb and still holds a significant stake today, more than 15 years after the first climb.
